The 10 most romantic destinations to get away on Valentine’s Day

To know the world, to disconnect from the big city, to live new adventures, to enjoy with your partner. Making a romantic getaway in Valentine’s Day is always a good option.

If you want to surprise your partner with a romantic getaway on Valentine’s Day, but you do not know where to go, do not worry! Today, I bring you a top 10 of the most special cities to enjoy the day of lovers. Take note!

Paris, France

If Paris were not ranked number one, this ranking would not make any sense. The French capital, called “The city of love”, is pure romance. Its historical heritage, its streets and its pastry shops! Every corner is art and love. And to travel this city from the hand of the person you love the most, in the middle of February, is priceless.

Verona, Italy

With a history like that of Romeo and Juliet, Verona could not stay out of this classification either. Many lovers go to the balcony of the house -a manor palace of medieval origin- from where the protagonist of the Shakespearean work appeared.

Prague, Czech Republic

Prague is a city designed for the most romantic couples. If you choose this destination, among many of the plans it offers, you cannot miss a dinner aboard a boat on the river, get lost in the old city or climb the hill of lovers to kiss with the sculpture of Poet Mácha.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Considered as “the Pearl of the Adriatic”, Dubrovnik is the living image of a fairy tale. This Croatian city is perfect for those couples who wish to spend a Valentine’s Day in front of the sea or get lost among the huge stone buildings of a fortified city.

Rome, Italy

Walk around the Colosseum, put your hand in the mouth of truth, swear eternal love leaving the lock on the Ponte Milvio or throw a coin in the Fontana di Trevi to make a wish. Is there something more romantic than all this? Absolutely not. If all roads lead to Rome, why not enjoy it on Valentine’s Day.

Granada, Spain

Andalusia is always a good idea, and enjoy the romance that surrounds the city of the Alhambra, too. Beach and mountains, tapas and canes, tourism and relaxation. Granada offers everything you would expect from a romantic getaway. My advice? If you finally decide to travel to this city, do not forget to enjoy some Arab baths with your partner.

Lisbon, Portugal

During these last two years, Portugal has become one of the favorite destinations of couples. Besides being an economic country, it hides a unique charm. Lisbon, in particular, falls in love with its steep streets, its color and its panoramic views from viewpoints. Also, from there to Sintra it takes less than an hour, and we assure you that knowing it will be worth it.

Budapest, Hungary

Budapest, the Pearl of the Danube. The Hungarian capital never disappoints. Its enormous beauty captivates all who visit it, as beautiful by day as by night. It is the perfect combination between tourism and relaxation. You can walk its streets to end up relaxing in one of its famous outdoor spas.

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech is a little away from the “typical” romantic cities. However, it is a very top destination for Valentine’s Day, because in winter there is less tourism and temperatures are mild. You can enjoy a hammam and then have a tea on a terrace overlooking the city.

Asturias, Spain

Asturias is pure nature. For lovers of rural and intimacy, this city is, without a doubt, the perfect destination. Our favorite place, Lakes of Covadonga! You cannot go without knowing them.
