Grand Mercure Bangkok Asoke Residence -Bangkok,Thailand

Located in Sukhumvit Road, Grand Mercure Asoke Bangkok is a perfect starting point from which to explore Bangkok. It is conveniently located 8 minutes on foot to BTS Asoke Station, and it is an excellent location to get to the nearest Bumrungrad Hospital. Because there are many famous hotels around BTS Asoke station, the atmosphere of the tourist is more lively. The Asoke area has many Japanese restaurants and supermarkets, which are convenient for meals and shopping.

It is a lobby with spacious open feeling and luxury. There is ample area pool, fitness, sauna and children’s playground. The facility space is not shared with the neighboring serviced apartment so that it will be exclusively for apartment residents. Also, it is a pet-like property where you can also keep a precious large dog. The free shuttle is operated every 30 minutes connecting the property and BTS Asoke station. It was 5 minutes walking, but it seems to be expensive during the day of hot weather.

We arrived at the Hotel before the usual check in time and they were kind enough to give us an early check-in. Check-in was hassle-free, quick and efficiently handled. There was also a pleasant complimentary cut-fruit tray in the full-size fridge, as well as more fruits placed on the dining table of our suite.

Our Room!

The room (deluxe) is fully equipped with a kitchenette – everything that you can name it, it is there. It means you can cook from day till night. The living room and the kitchen is combined in a studio style. Bedroom in the back, living room with kitchen in the dining space in front. It is a living room where you can feel the richness that you can do even little hard business negotiations.

There was a very generous sized bedroom with a bathroom attached which featured both a bath and walk-in shower and there was also a petite toilet and wash basin situated near the entrance. In the master bedroom, there is a window where outside light often enters and a writing desk is also installed. Ducked behind a door in the kitchen area was a washing machine without drying function. There are TVs in both the living room and the bedroom.

Exceptionally Highlights!

In addition to refrigerator and microwave oven, kitchen has Induction Stove, toaster, pot, and cooking utensils such as chopping board, kitchen knife, frying pan, and hotpot are also available and self-catering is also possible. However, since it is necessary to arrange oil and seasoning things by oneself, short-stay guests will depend on eating out by all means.

It is an indoor space with excellent daylighting with large windows with a balcony and it seems to be able to spend comfortably even for a long stay. Rooftop pool with stunning city views including great jacuzzi, gym, sauna & steam room. Guests are sparse and the atmosphere is good. Especially at night, it is easy to drink a cup of cocktails while swimming in the skyscraper in Bangkok that shines a neon in the night sky.

Food!

Every morning at the dining area guests may enjoy full American buffet breakfast. The 24-hour restaurant serves American food in an excellent atmosphere. The venue is set next to a subway station and 200 meters from Yong Lee and Flava bar with a broad selection of dishes.

The breakfast was good, surely more Western/American than Thai. There was a guy making omelets, fried eggs, bacon, potatoes and then a couple of Thai dishes as well as a toaster with bread and jam/butter. The breakfast room wasn’t enough, space, where the breakfast served, was enough only for 10-12 people.

We had a wonderful stay at this property, the staff was extremely well trained, and courteous people. I would like to come back in the near future. At the end of the day, you can relax in the rooftop pool or simply sunbathe. This is the best hotel you can find in Bangkok. Overall an exceptional place to stay and great value for money!
