India’s First 1Gbps Broadband Service Launched by ACT Fibernet

Newly, Bangalore-based Company Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT Pvt. Ltd.) has launched India’s first 1Gbps fiber-optic broadband services. Riding on the strength of being the largest non-telco ISP, ACT Fibernet has the best global fiber optic technology and is now bringing world class experience with futuristic speeds to Indian consumers.

ACT Fibernet, will use the fiber optic technology to offer 1Gbps speed which is almost 400 times faster than the current average Internet speed of 2.5 megabits per second in India.

IT minister K T Rama Rao launched the one GBPS internet connection of ACT Fibernet in Hyderabad last Thursday.

Addressing the gathering, CEO, ACT Fibernet Bala Malladi said that this country is one of the few around the world, to give broadband speed for 1 Gbps. “With our citizens and the government moving towards the Digital India movement, high-speed internet is the need of the hour. With the launch of our 1 Gbps broadband internet service, it gives me immense pride to turn this dream into reality. The city of Hyderabad is apt for our maiden launch as it has some of the best technology brands, educational institutions and a vibrant economy.”

Speaking at the launch, Honourable Minister for IT, Municipal Administration and Urban development and Industries, Shri. K. Taraka Rama Rao said, “I am extremely pleased to be present here and witness the historic launch of 1Gbps broadband internet service for an entire city in the country. It is my vision to connect our residents to the high-speed internet, and I am sure this product from ACT Fibernet will further help fulfill my vision of making Telangana a tech and digitally advanced hub.”

ACT Fibernet revealed that users need Intel Core i7 CPU @2.5Ghz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit operating system and 1Gbps Ethernet port to enjoy high-speed internet on their computer. Well, ACT Fibernet will allow downloads from the web faster than transferring data from a USB Drive.

ACT Fibernet’s 1 Gbps wired internet service is slated to soon be available in the 11 cities the company has the presence in. The product is currently available in Hyderabad for INR 5999 per month, 1 Gbps, 1TB FUP.  Please check the website www.actcorp.in for further details
