OnePlus 7T Experience

When it comes to smartphones that provide fast ram, fast charger and has a strong build quality, I trust the OnePlus brand in general.  Founded in 2013, OnePlus has grown exponentially over the years gaining its dedicated fan base over these years. Hence, India is one of the places where OnePlus Communications hold its target audience apart from China and the USA.  Macrotraveller has been a part of this reputed brand since its inception and has been a fan ever since. We might have noticed in the recent launch event, OnePlus introduced its first-ever non-smartphone product OnePlus TV and everyone waited in bated breath since it was announced.

Alone with its first-ever TV product, we came across the release of OnePlus 7T. It is the first and the cheapest phone that comes in Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset.  OnePlus 7T was launched on 26th September 2018 and comes with 2 variants, 8+128 GB which costs 37,999 INR and 8+256GB which costs 39,999INR respectively. The screen is 6.55inch touch screen display with 1080×2400 pixels and has a pixel density of 402 PPI. Powered by Snapdragon 855+ processer it is slightly bigger and narrower than recently released OnePlus 7 Pro.  The display is Fluid AMOLED with 90 Hz refresh rate and comes with latest HDR10+ technology. The Snapdragon Processor is faster, efficient and smoother when you are playing games, streaming content and multitasking.

OnePlus 7T runs Oxygen OS based on Android 10 which is the latest version of Android. This OS gets its optimization which helps in running this phone super smooth and greater user experience.  OnePlus comes with special mode for Gamers called Game Space and other features such as Fnatic Mode, Graphics Optimization. One interesting feature of the latest OnePlus phone is that the user can charge the phone while playing game/streaming and the phone does not heat up.

The battery of OnePlus is top-notch and comes with 3800mAh battery and OnePlus has introduced Warp Charge 30T which is one of fast charge and moment. The phone can charge 0-100 in an hour where OnePlus has tweaked battery performance to assist the fast charging.  Coming to sound quality, the phone has Dolby Atmos Speakers with 3D enhancement which assists in producing crisper, louder and balanced sound output when you are playing games, watching movies and TV series you can hear the audio crisp and clear.

The highlight of OnePlus 7T is its camera quality, no-compromise has been provided regarding the camera and OnePlus 7T has a triple camera at the back and one camera in front. The front camera is 16MP and rear cameras come in 48MP+16MP +12MP. 48MP camera is Sony IMX586 with F1.6 lens, 16MP is a wide-angle camera and 12MP is a telephoto camera with 2x Optical Zoom. The camera takes crisp and quality images both day and night light, also the telephoto zoom lens takes better quality images while the image is taken of a distant product.

Connectivity options on the OnePlus 7T include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G and have a dual sim that accepts both Nano-Sim cards. Both Sim slots accept 4G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus 7T supports face unlock. The phone measures 160.94Height, 74.44 width and 8.13mm in thickness and comes in Frosted Silver and Glacier Blue colours.
