#PunjabiAtPavilion cuisine from the Land of Five Rivers at #ITCGardenia

Cubbon Pavilion at ITC Gardenia invites you to savor the authentic cuisine of the Land of Five Rivers! Don’t miss bhangra and sarso ka saag for vegetarians and butter chicken for non-vegetarians! ITC Hotels are known to offer the best of cuisines in India, and now ITC Gardenia is launching #PunjabiAtPavilion cuisine from the Land of Five Rivers.

4J2A1902ITC Gardenia’s Cubbon Pavilion is hosting a food festival to celebrate the rich and robust cuisine of Punjab, called ‘The Land of Five Rivers.’ The Land of Five Rivers Food Festival is part of ITC Hotel’s ‘Kitchens of India’ series which aims to source the ignored recipes from different provinces of the country. This food festival is on till February 25 – Head to ITC Gardenia ASAP!

Authentic to the very essentials, the exquisite menu featured Punjabi specialties such as Patiala Shahi Pulao, Amritsari Tari Macchi, Zimikand ke koftey, Mathi-Channe, Annardana papad Choley, Besan ki Subzi and much more. Making the culinary journey even more wholesome were the specially curated beverages like Lassi-e-Khaas, Patiala Peg & Goli Banta.

4J2A1922The festival will feature a dinner buffet created by visiting chef Arshdeep Singh (who is from Ludhiana), who has conceptualized the entire menu.

4J2A1932Starters involved Qazlaeela Talli (Fish), Chirga (Chicken) and Laal Mirch Paneer Tikka. Straight from the heart of Punjab!

I didn’t have Qazlaeela and Chirga because I’m vegetarian! But my fellow bloggers who came to the food festival said it’s the best one they have had in recent time! They loved both Fried Fish and Tandoori Chicken.

I have had Paneer Tikka all my life but, this version was fresh in its taste and approach. The paneer was so soft, and that strong essence of laal mirch is what makes it fascinating. They called it cottage cheese! I loved this one! Highly Recommended!

Concluding with the desserts, all the three were my supreme favorites: Gulab Jamun, Gajar Ka Halwa and Kulfi with Rabri.

A Punjabi meal cannot be complete without Patiala Peg! Read for yourself the story of how the peg came into existence!
