A ROYAL STAY AT ITC Mughal in Agra

In ITC Mughal, Agra, have a central location in Agra, within walking distance of Mosque and the Jawab and Taj Mahal. This 5-star resort is close to Agra Fort and Sadar Bazaar. Once you enter the hotel premises, you will notice that you are in a different world to what is behind the gates. I have been very impressed with the Hotel friendly staff and excellent service. You will feel at home in one of the 233 rooms with air conditioning, minibar, and LCD TV. For entertainment, I had a TV with cable channels and wired and Wi-Fi internet with charge. The private bathroom has complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a safe, a desk, and a phone. Relax in the great spa offering massages, body treatments, and facials. The recreational amenities at this property include a health club, an outdoor pool, and a spa tub. The Bed was very soft and amazing as a bunch of feathers, and the same goes for the Pillows. All Bathrooms are fitted with a bathtub and shower and have all other services you need from Toothpaste and brush to Bathrobes. A great getaway from Delhi for a relaxed weekend. The hotel though an old one holds true to its name indeed has a Mughal feel to it. The hotel is well maintained, immaculate, beautifully and tastefully decorated, the grounds exceptionally maintained, the spa is one of the best in India, if not Asia, and every nook and cranny that is visible to the guest’s senses are thought through by careful interior design. #MacroTravellerTips: The travel desk arranged our sunrise tour of the Taj, which was great. There is an observatory from where we could see Taj Mahal during sunrise from the comforts of the hotel.

The focus is certainly on the guests’ discovery of each sensation, and experience. That said, the experience isn’t over the top or even sensory overload. It is a very smooth and almost ethereal. You are transported into a comfort focused world. The hotel boasts of some very dedicated staff who would anticipate your need & deliver more than your expectation. Discover the delicious dishes of the three restaurants and the cafeteria of this resort. And if you do not feel like leaving, you can call the 24-hour room service. Relax with good refreshment in the 2 bars with lounge. Their signature restaurants Peshawari & Taj Bano are fantastic. Their Breakfast buffet was fabulous. I just hope that they keep changing their breakfast menu regularly. Their restaurant TAJ BANO (which serves buffet and a la carte) has some excellent staff. The breakfast selection was average with eggs cooked freshly by request which can make service slow. The dinner selection is good if you like vegetarian options. ITC Mughal is a captivating leisure destination in itself, offering a myriad of services and amenities to experience our truly enriching surroundings. A special mention should be made to the dance / cultural programme which they hold in the evening in the area next to the lobby which was thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a memorable trip and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Agra, and at my next visit to Agra, I will make sure to stay at ITC Mughal.
