Smartron is another Indian brand endeavouring hard to make a mark in the packed smartphone segment in the country. They made the foray into the sector last year has newly launched its new smartphone dubbed Smartron The second smartphone from Smartron has been launched in alliance with India’s cricket legend Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

According to the Smartron, the draws inspiration from the cricket God and “is a gift from him to his fans.” Smartron’s comes in two variants and both sports 4GB of RAM. The 32GB storage version costs Rs 12,999 while the 64GB storage is priced at Rs 13,999. Both versions of the phone are currently available on Flipkart, and it is a Flipkart exclusive.

But how does it fare regarding day to day performance? Let’s uncover whether can score like Tendulkar or not.

Smartron Specifications: 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display | Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor | 4GB RAM + 32/64GB storage | 13MP rear camera + 5 MP front camera | 3000 mAh battery | Android Nougat 7.1.1

Smartron Design and Display!

Smartron’s is capitalizing on the Sachin Tendulkar’s brand name, but truly when it comes to design this phone is quite perfect. Available in Titanium Grey with a single orange line running across the back, the phone sports a plastic body with rounded edges and corners with dual speaker grille at the bottom.

The front panel ruled by a 5.5-inch Full-HD IPS display, protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Above the screen are the selfie camera, earpiece, and the usual sensors. Below the screen, there are three backlit capacitive navigation keys which also light up when the phone is being charged. But, the doesn’t have an LED indicator. The rear panel also has the fingerprint sensor located in the centre, above which there’s a Smartron logo. The name of the smartphone is printed on the lower region of the rear panel.

Flipping over, you’ll see the back panel which hides a non-removable battery and dual-SIM card slots. Smartron has not added microSD slot in this smartphone. But the company is giving unlimited storage in its own ‘tron Cloud,’ most of them are not keen on using this.

Overall, I found the design of the to be decent. It’s sturdily-built. Coming to the display, the 5.5-inch display of Smartron is quite good. It’s sufficiently bright and makes the colours look vivid. Its sunlight readability is excellent too, something which we consider to be a big plus.

Smartron SRT phone Performance Review!

The is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core SoC with 4 GB RAM. The phone runs on Android Nougat out of the box, but it’s not a stock build and comes with a few extra tweaks. Concerning the performance, the tackles everyday tasks, like navigating between UI elements, social media, browsing the web, and so on without visible lags. Nevertheless, I endured some heating issues while playing high graphics intensive games for more than an hour.

Smartron Camera Review! comes with a 13MP rear camera, and the front camera is 5MP. The camera reacts quickly in the auto mode, and the image results in bright, outdoor lighting are not bad at all. About 5MP selfie camera, its image quality is more than average. But the results are far from good in case of selfies taken in dimly-lit conditions. Must say, is not a pick for camera buffs.

Final Verdict!

Smartron touches with its snappy performance, vibrant screen, sturdy build, and unlimited cloud storage. But, the’s camera and battery performance are slightly average. Also, the camera is quite average, and the battery is not very lasting. If these two features wouldn’t bother you, you can go for the Smartron Overall is the best phone in this price range.
