Stay at Crowne Plaza Adyar Park – Chennai | #MacroTraveller

Located 12 km from the Chennai International Airport and close to the business and financial centers. The hotel is located next to numerous cultural attractions, such as Mylapore Temple, Mahabalipuram and Dakshina Chitra. It is close to Marina Beach and Anna University. The hotel is just 4 km from the city center. We can relax at the sandy beach of Chennai.

The check-in and check-out were fast. Sojourning at this hotel is an ideal option if you are passing through Chennai (near to the airport). Whether you come to the city of Chennai for business or pleasure, stay at the Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park.

The rooms are quite impressive, and the staff is accommodating. The king bed was very comfy. The service was excellent, and the hotel gave me an oasis away from working day. All rooms at Crowne Plaza Chennai Adayar Park feature a personal safe, LCD TV, mini fridge, wardrobe and trouser press. The private bathroom has a shower, a hairdryer, and a bathrobe. They also have a swimming pool for you to rejuvenate yourself.

The restaurant offers a lot of delicious food, and I can’t believe the food arrangement I see, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. I went there two times, every time was, and the service was perfect. The strange thing is that there are not many people in the restaurant. At Dakshin, be sure to try the South Indian cuisine at the restaurant.

Dinner commences with rasam and is very different. It is an appetizer made with bananas were delicious. Idiyappam and appam were too good, along with a variety of vegetables, accompanied by rice, tofu rice, and sambar rice. Sweet tooth was payasam and jack iced Ice Cream made from banana and cream. Very tasty and very special. Be sure to enjoy the food of Dakshin, remember to have an empty stomach!

I tried a new restaurant this time around – On The Rocks.Love the new concept.

Cappuccino served excellent filter coffee, and I savored it. Witness a relaxed evening at the Connexions a Hi-Tea Lounge. Slip into a relaxed evening at the Westminster Bar with the best selection of beverages. Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park was celebrating Madras Week, with a celebration of the local flavors of Chennai.

MacroTraveller liked the 24/7 security, gym, library, sauna/spa and swimming pool facilities. The Spa is one of the best of its kind, immense, hygienic, spacious with an individual room with attached bathroom well maintained with the excellent therapist.

There are loads to choose from, including body scrubs and facials and each item on that menu seemed enticing. The prices ranged from 2500 INR to about 6000+ INR, depending on the kind and duration of service. Therefore, whenever you want to step back into a long-forgotten era, and fancy to feel like royalty, make sure to check out this spa without fail. They offer Ayurvedic treatments, something MacroTraveller always like to experience whenever in Chennai. I tried Deep Tissue Massage for eliminating toxins.

Deep Tissue Massage– This therapy is indicated to relax the muscles and dissolve contractures that are produced by stress, excess exercise, poor posture, lack of rest or life too sedentary. And is that by getting the muscle tissue is stretched and separated, it provides better blood circulation. Thus, unlocking the passage of nutrients and oxygen to the massaged areas.

I tried Deep Tissue massage because it decreases the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, also generates benefits on the heart rate, reducing it. On the other hand, it also improves mood and promotes relaxation through the activation of serotonin production, according to this same study. For those who are not known, serotonin is our allied hormone in reference in terms of mood, sleep, and appetite refers.

Crowne Plaza Adyar Park is an excellent reminder of how service can make an establishment. Thank you for the hospitality, the staff of the Crowne Plaza Chennai, your ‘Gold Standard Service.’ You are MacroTraveller’s 10 out of 10, for this is how you made MacroTraveller feel during my stay!  When MacroTraveller revisits Chennai, will stay at Crowne Plaza for sure.
