The Most Spectacular Road Trips Around The World

The road is part of each trip. Enjoying the landscapes through the window of the car is an experience that is not erased from our minds. For this reason, I elaborate a list of the ten most beautiful road trips.

When we travel, one of the moments that we enjoy the most is when we go in the car looking out the window. The beautiful views that give us the roads are priceless, so we made a list of the most beautiful car trips in the world.

  1. Guoliang Tunnel, China

The history of this tunnel is as incredible as himself. The village of Guoliang was located high in the mountains of Henan province, and the only access they had to civilization was a narrow – and very dangerous – staircase embedded in the side of a mountain. After a large number of requests to the government for a way that connected them to the city that was ignored, the villagers decided to take action on the matter and build a tunnel through their means that would connect them with the outside world.

After five years of work, in 1977, the villagers of Guoliang managed to build a tunnel 4.8 meters high and 4.2 meters long. Today, this feat has become a great attraction for thousands of tourists for its majesty.

  1. Route 40, Argentina

Route 40 is an emblem in Argentina and crosses a total of 11 provinces. The route goes from Cabo Vírgenes in Santa Cruz to La Quiaca in Jujuy, measures a total of 5,200 km and links three regions: Patagonia, Cuyo, and Northern Argentina.

Touring Route 40 is an excellent way to get to know some of the most important tourist destinations in Argentina since it provides easy access to them. Besides, access to 14 national parks, 26 reserves, and provincial parks, it communicates with 41 international passes, 13 ski centers, crosses 18 major rivers and five places declared a World Heritage Site. In short, Route 40 is an excellent way to do tourism in a country as beautiful as Argentina is.

  1. Florida Keys, United States

Can you imagine a road that goes deeper than 200 kilometres in a sea of beautiful turquoise tones and that jumps from island to island? It may seem like a dream, but in the United States, specifically in the state of Florida, you can make a beautiful journey over the sea through undulating bridges, which has become one of the most spectacular road trips in the world.

The beautiful route covers all the islands that make up the Florida Keys. Through this road, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the ocean from the comfort of your car while moving between blue-green waters. If you want to make this trip, we recommend that you book four days to one week of your vacation so you can fully enjoy the islands.

In this other direction, you will know the wine route, and you will be able to walk near dozens of ostrich farms.

  1. Tian Men Shan, China

The Tian Men Shan road is an impressive succession of very sharp curves. It measures only 10 kilometres but rises from 200 to 1,300 meters above sea level. This work owes its name to a cave that is on top of the mountain, better known as the Door to Heaven.

The route is simply beautiful, and you will go through a total of 99 curves in 10 kilometres until you finally reach the top. If you are encouraged to visit the Gate to Heaven, you must climb a staircase that has exactly 999 steps. Would you cheer up?

Also, ski lovers also know this beautiful route, since a nearby glacier allows you to practice this sport even during the summer.

If you want to make this trip on the road, you must visit it from June to November, since in the rest of the year the high mountain conditions make it impossible for vehicles to pass through the large amount of snow that accumulates.
